Date31 March 1916
Description'Dear Sir Joseph,
The paper by Dr. George Green on the Main Crests of Ship Waves and on Waves in Deep Water due to the Motion of Submerged Bodies, was before the Mathematics Committee at their meeting on Wednesday, when it was agreed that the paper be not recommended for publication in it's present form; but that in view of the reports of the referees and having regard to an intimation by the author that he intends to develop his method further, the paper be referred back to him so as to allow him to take account of the criticisms made. I therefore return the paper to you, togehter with a copy of the report of one of their referees.'
