TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to C. C. Lloyd Esq., Secretary, The Iron and Steel Institute, 28 Victoria Street, S.W.
Date27 March 1916
Description'Dear Mr. Lloyd,
Your letter of Saturday has brought a certain relief to our minds here because there was disappointment at the Iron and Steel Institute making no response to the invitation which certainly was sent out from here, to take part in the Conference about the proposed Conjoint Board. There has evidently been some miscarriage in the post, and I enclose a copy of the original invitation and hope that your Institute will nominate representatives who may take part in the next meeting of the Conference, which is to recieve a report from the drafting committee with proposals for a working scheme.
