TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to J. E. Brydone Esq., 38 Lawn Crescent, Kew Gardens
Date11 April 1916
Description'Dear Sir,
Answering your enquiry concering Mr. Alexander Ramsay and his MS. papers, may I say that I think you are under a misapprehension as to his Fellowship of this Society. We are unable to trace any Alexander Ramsay in our lists, and think it possible you may be confusing this Society with some other Royal Society, such as the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Perhaps on further examination you will find that this is what has happened.'
