Notes that, if Professor [William Abbott] Herdman think it a serious suggestion, then it will probably be necessary to send it round to the Committee before their next meeting. As to Professor Herdman's enquiry as to the status of the Grain Pests Committee, explains that it it is not strictly speaking a war Committee. Rather, the Grain Pests Committee was appointed by the Council in a civilian capacity.
