Date29 July 1919
DescriptionResponding to a request for books on loan from Sir [Edwin] Ray Lankester, FRS, KCB, advises they are sending him the three volumes he requested, and that all books borrowed must be returned by August under Library regulations. He notes this is just a day or two off, and says that he hoped Sir [Edwin] Ray Lankester, FRS, KCB will let them have the books back as soon after that date as he can, and during the month of August. He requests that he remits the stamps to the value of the postage, as the borrower pays the carriage cost.
