TitleCopy letter from Sir William Bate Hardy, FRS, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir R [Richard] Havelock Charles [1st Baronet, KCSI], GCVC, Surgeon General
Date14 October 1919
DescriptionAdvises that through an oversight the India Office was not notified that a representative of the India Office was included in the newly reorganised Tropical Diseases Committee by the Royal Society Council. As Sir Havelock Charles had served in this capacity in the past, it was hoped and expected he would continue in this capacity. Apologises for the error and hopes he will agree to serve. Notes because of this the list of the Committee given in the Royal Society Year Book is inaccurate, and this will be corrected in the new edition.
