DescriptionThe Treasuer of the Royal Society [Sir Alfred Bray Kempe, FRS] wishes to advise that £468-18-10 of uninvested cash has been paid to Sir Richard [Tetley] Glazebrook, FRS, who has signed a receipt. There is still a small sum to be paid to him because of income tax to be recovered. The Bank of England has sent a Power of Attorney to the Royal Society to transfer to Sir Richard Glazebrook the capital sum of £12176-10-11 2 1/2% Consols, and the document will be sealed by the Council of the Royal Society on 23 October.
