Says 'the only way I could try to meet you by an innocent evasion of the rules' is if John Ware sends him the paper , along with a copy of a letter he received from Sir William Ramsey, and as a private individual Harrison will ask one of the Fellows concerned with astronomy to judge if he would be willing to communicate it to the Society. The normal procedure would be for John Ware to contact a Fellow in his area at Leeds or Sheffield Universities, but Harrison knows 'there is no astronomer amongst them.' |
