DescriptionRegarding the paper 'The renal portal system (renal venous meshwork) and kidney excretion in vertenrata,' by WNF Woodland and communicated by Professor A [Sir Arthur] Keith, FRS, advises that although it was sent to Dr FE [Frank Evans] Beddard as a second referee, he returned it as he did not feel competent to give an opinion. Asks Dr SF Harmer, FRS, Chairman of the Zoology Committee, to recommend a second referee. The first referee, Professor J P Hill, returned the report with a recommendation for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society.'
