Description | Advises the recipient did not send the addresses of the members of Council, so to save time the author is sending letters of invitation to HG Maurice at the Ministry of Fisheries to be addressed and sent on. Advises the meeting on Thursday afternoon has been arranged to suit the Council in terms of subject and they should be interested in the discussion. Tea will be at 4 PM and the meeting will begin at 4.30 PM. Requests that someone who knows the members of the Council by sight attends in order to introduce them to the President of the Royal Society [Sir Joseph John Thomson, PRS]. [Author is a Secretary of the Royal Society, but his signature is not visible. Secretaries at the time were Sir William Bate Hardy, FRS, and Sir James Hopwood Jeans, FRS]. |
