Advises he has not called a formal meeting of officers before the Council as the Treasurer [Sir Alfred Bray Kempe, FRS] is not available and Dr [Arthur] Schuster, FRS [Secretary of the Royal Society] is away, and Professor [Sir William Abbott] Herdman [Foreign Secretary of the Royal Society] is at Port Erin. Harrison offers to go through the agenda paper with Mr Hardy before the meeting.
