DescriptionConfirms that it was as a member of the Privy Council that Sir Edward Fry was elected a Fellow of the Society in 1883. Explains that the earlier statutes allowed the election of members of the Privy Council, however, in 1902 this was repealed and a new statute was passed under the heading of 'Special Elections'.
