TitleCopy letter from Edwin Deller, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Israel Gollancz [Secretary of the British Academy]
Date5 October 1920
DescriptionInforms Sir Israel Gollancz that one of the Society's most valuable manuscripts is missing, the 'XXVII Codex membranaceus [...] Biblia Hebraica'. Notes that the Society had it in 1840 when the Halliwell-Phillips Catalgoue was made and there is no record of it having been handled since. Asks Sir Israel Gollancz if he, or any of his 'bibliographic friends', could help the Society in the matter.
