Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Frank Heath [Secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research] |
Date | 14 October 1920 |
Description | Informs Sir Frank Heath that on October 21st Council will consider what action is to be taken regarding the International Catalogue of Scientific Literature, particularly regarding the continuation of the lease of the present office buildings. Suggests it is unlikely that Council will decide to renew the lease considering the uncertainty of the Catalgoue's future. Asks whether he should make reference to the informal conversations they have had about Sir Heath's Department [Department of Scientific and Industrial Research] possibly taking over the Catalogue. |
