TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor William Ramsay, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date4 October 1892
DescriptionRix lists the numbers of 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' in Ramsay's parcel which are suitable for sale. The total selling price of these is 13 shillings and sixpence. Rix lists the prices for various parts of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' and volumes of the 'Proceedings' which Ramsay has requested to know spanning numbers 206 to 296 and 1879 to 1885, and states how the account between them would then stand. If Ramsay can send a cheque for £10-10-9, the Society can send all that he requires. Or if Ramsay prefers he can make an exchange up to the value of the 'Proceedings' he offers.
