DescriptionFoster is directed by the President and Council to request Ponsonby to make known to her Majesty that they recommended Mr John Newport Langley MA FRS and the Reverend Professor Charles Pritchard DD FRS for the award of the Royal Medals for the present year. Foster shall feel obliged by Ponsonby informing him of Her Majesty's pleasure regarding this.

Annotated in another hand 'Mem for 1893. to send private letter to Mr Wyon'.
