TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Harry Govier Seeley
Date5 November 1892
DescriptionSeeley's letter concerning the geological specimens was read to the Council this week. The Council have directed Rix to state the Regulations of the Government Grant that all instruments, specimens et cetera, of permanent value whether purchased or obtained out of, or by means of, the Grant, or supplied from among those at the disposal of the Committee are to be regarded, unless the Committee decides otherwise, as the property of the Government, and are to be returned by the applicant at the conclusion of their research. Rix is therefore instructed to write to the Director of the Natural History museum to the effect that Seeley is now ready to place the specimens in his hands.
