TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to M le Doctor Paul Dorveaux, Bibliotheque de l'Ecole de Pharmacie, 4 Avenue de l'Observatoire, Paris
Date31 March 1892
DescriptionIn reply to Dorveaux's letter of 21 March, Rix is instructed by the Royal Society's Committee to explain that the first eight volumes of their 'Catalogue' were printed at the expense of the British Government. The Royal Society was free to recommend scientific institutions for a grant of these publications. The Government has now ceased to print this work and the ninth volume has been printed by a private firm. The Royal Society is therefore not in a position to add this volume to their former gift.
