TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Pyke, care of Messrs Pyke & Harris
Date30 April 1892
DescriptionThe Electric Supply Corporation will attend at once to the matter of supplying current and will communicate with the Messrs. If it comes to supplying a dynamo and working from the Royal Society's own engine, the Society will provide a man to run the engine but cannot undertake to meet any part of the expense of putting in the dynamo. This must be managed entirely by Pyke's firm. The location of the dyanmo is awkward and a deal of damage was done in getting it into position last time one was put in. In the latter case Rix almost thinks it would be better to put off the show until the June Soirée, but he leaves that question for Pyke and Harris to decide having mentioned the above condition.
