TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to George Mathews Whipple, Secretary to the Kew Committee
Date23 February 1892
DescriptionIn answer to Whipple's letter of 6 February reciting a minute of the Kew Committee made at their meeting of 29 January whereby it was requested that the draft memorandum of articles of association should be formally approved by the Royal Society before being presented to the Board of Trade, Foster quotes a minute passed at the Council meeting of the Royal Society last Thursday, agreeing that the required approval be given, provided the Treasurer is satisfied that the suggestions made by the Society's solicitors have been embodied in the memorandum and articles. The Treasurer, John Evans, has satisfied himself on this point and the approval of the Council is therefore confirmed.
