TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to J Cole, Sheffield
Date11 June 1892
DescriptionMr J Harley Parker is not and never was a Fellow of the Royal Society and Rix believes there is no such person now living. Harley's successor issued a pamphlet with the name of Harley Parker, FRS on the wrapper. Harley re-issued the pamphlet with the letters FRAS much to the annoyance of the Royal Astronomical Society. They obliged him to drop the letters and the last copy of the pamphlet which Rix saw had no letters after the name. If Cole's copy of the pamphlet is recent Rix should like to know, and also to know when it was received.
