TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Stanford, 26 & 27 Cockspur Street, S.W.
Date13 June 1892
DescriptionThey are publishing in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' a paper by Mr Charles Baron Clarke 'On Biologic Regions'. In his manuscript Clarke has coloured in his area on an outline map of Mercator's projection, published by Stanford. It would save the Royal Society a great deal of expense in making the plate if instead of the outline and writing in a selection of names, they might photograph the whole map, adding only Clarke's coloured areas. Rix wonders if Stanford will give them permission.
