DescriptionIn answer to the Secretary's memorandum of 18 June, Rix encloses herewith a letter from the Royal Society's agents Messrs Smith & Oakley, which he hopes will give the necessary information. The houses in Wharton Terrace were twice numbered before it became absorbed in Wharton Road. The owner of the property at Lewes is the Marquess of Abergavenny and the Fee Farm Rent is paid annually by His Lordship's agent Mr G Macbean, Edridge Estate Office, Frant Road, Tunbridge Wells. The address of the property at the corner of Lambeth Hill is 48 Knightrider Street, E.C. and the Royal College of Physicians are the owners. Mr W Adamson is the tenant. The Royal Society receive one-fifth of the clear rent. Sir Dyce Duckworth's letter is appended [no enclosures].
