DescriptionAt their recent meeting the President and Council of the Royal Society agreed to lend for exhibition in the Nottingham Art Gallery, the portraits of Dr E W Gray, Dr Wollaston and Sir Hans Solane. The first of these has been sent to be glazed, without which the Council never lend any picture. Wallis wrote to the Treasurer, John Evans, regarding the loan of a portrait of William Hunter but the Society does not posses any such, though they do have a portrait of John Hunter.
