TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster
Date21 September 1892
DescriptionRix has now seen Stanford, who has read the whole of the correspondence regarding Clarke's plates. Stanford acknowledges his firms fault though he naturally thinks that Clarke was very idiotic to send in his plate for press without any authority to do so. Rix thinks Stanford will agree to print a fresh edition without charge but he will not answer finally until tomorrow. Rix does not think he shall have anything further to consult Foster about now that Williamson is settled, so unless Foster is in the neighbourhood of Burlington House, it will hardly be worth his coming.
