DescriptionHerewith Rix encloses an estimate for Professor [Oliver Joseph] Lodge's plates. The blocks for this paper are already in hand, the estimate of £7-16-6 having been accepted by Strutt shortly before Rix's return to town.

Encloses an estimate for Professor [William Crawford] Williamson's plates by Messrs Whiteman & Bass. The estimate includes plate paper and is at the same rate as the Royal Society has paid for the proceedings 17 papers by this author. Williamson prefers Whiteman & Bass to any other lithographer.
