| Description | Informs Professor [John William] Nicholson that two papers have recently been received, one by [Joseph] Larmor, 'Electro-crystalline properties as conditioned by atomic lattices', and one by [Hector Munro] Macdonald, 'The transmission of electric waves around the earth's surface'. Asks Professor Nicholson to look at Macdonald's paper himself and, if he think it right, pass it under Standing Order 43. Also asks him to suggest a referee for Larmor's paper. Also notes that the National Committee for Mathematics met this afternoon and decided that he, as Secretary, should write to Dickson to enquire with the American National Committee in the matter of abstracting mathematical papers. |
