TitleCopy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Richard [Tetley] Glazebrook, Chairman of the Physics Committee and FRS
Date24 May 1921
DescriptionSuggests arranging the the Physics Committee for [June] 9th. Notes that there have been efforts to get [William Henry] Bragg to send back his two reports, so far without success. Informs Sir Richard [Tetley] Glazebrook that [Thomas Ralph] Merton's report on the paper by F. C. Toy, 'The photographic efficiency of heterogeneous light', suggests its publication in a much abridged form. Also informs him of two new papers, one by Professor E. Taylor Jones, J. D. Morgan and Professor Wheeler, 'The ignition of gases by electric sparks', and one by [Harold Baily] Dixon, [Colin] Campbell and [A.] Parker, 'The velocity of sound in gases at high temperatures'. Discusses possible referees for each paper.
