Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Richard [Tetley] Glazebrook, Chairman of the Physics Committee and FRS |
Date | 4 July 1921 |
Description | Informs Sir Richard [Tetley] Glazebrook that the Lord Rayleigh's report on [Chandrasekhara Venkata] Raman's paper, 'On the transmission colours of sulphur suspensions', was entirely favourable and asks if it can be passed under Standing Order 43. Further notes that the report on W. G. Duffield's paper, 'Notes upon evaporation and the discharge of steam from offices', was so unfavourable that he has written to the communicator and asked if they might just withdraw it. |
