Description | Informs the Under Secretary that Colonel [Henry George] Lyons recently suggested that it would be advantageous if the survey of India was represented at the upcoming the meeting of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics in Rome. Asks them to transmit to the Indian Government an invitation to nominate a representative to attend this meeting. Notes that they would be nominated as one of the Delegates for the British Empire and would have full powers at the Conference in matters both scientific and administrative. |
