TitleCopy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Joseph Larmor, FRS
Date17 November 1921
DescriptionThanks Sir Joseph Larmor for his letter on Hargreave's paper and notes that, in light of his remarks, he would be happy to send it to another referee. Also explains his own view on the paper: that the observed phenomena on the subject of the law of inverse square and classical mechanics has in the past led nowhere, and Hargreave's paper does not provide substantial reason for assuming that the law of inverse square now sufficiently addresses the problem.
