Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Dr. [John Louis Emil] Dreyer; 14 Staverton Street, Oxford |
Date | 21 March 1922 |
Description | Informs Dr. [John Louis Emil] Dreyer that they have received an application from [William Frderick Archdall] Ellison of Armagh [Observatory] for a solar spectroscope, in which he mentions that he owns a 'photo-measurer'. Notes that the latter piece of apparatus was granted to Dr. Dreyer by the Government Grant some years ago, and therefore is their property. Asks Dr. Dreyer if he thinks it worth their reclaiming it. |
