The draft as suggested by Sherrington will be placed with the other related papers until they can be dealt with in due course. Thanks Sherrington for the correspondence between the Donor and the President of The Royal Society, and copies of Sir Alfred Yarrow's letters dated 6 February with manuscript and 21 February; confirms use of the word 'promotion' as it appears in print and thanks Sherrington for all the work he has done; ends by asking the extent to which the Royal Society is indebted to him in a professional sense.
