TitleCopy letter from [James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society]; to Lord Rayleigh [Robert John Strutt], FRS
Date8 September 1923
DescriptionReports that [Charles Vickery] Drysdale and [Stephen] Butterworth's paper, 'The Distribution of the Magnetic Field and Return Current round a Submarine Cable carrying Alternating Current', has been very favourably reviewed by both [William Henry] Eccles and [John Ambrose] Fleming. Asks if the Physics Committee will agree to recommend publication for the Transactions, and whether Lord Rayleigh [Robert John Strutt] agrees. Also informs Rayleigh that Aubrey Strahan has communicated W. Galloway's paper 'Capillary Action', asks for a suitable referee for what seems an 'amateurish' paper.
