TitleCopy letter from William Bate Hardy, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir John [Rose] Bradford, KCMG, FRS
Date20 September 1923
DescriptionInforms Sir John [Rose] Bradford that [Frederick Gowland] Hopkins has sent in a paper by [Leslie James] Harris ['The titration of amino- and carboxyl-groups in amino-acids, polypeptides, etc.'], and that the referees, [Arthur] Harden and [John Beresford] Leathes, advise publication in full, in two parts, in the Proceedings. Asks whether Bradford will agree to publish it like this. Asks whether Bradford agrees to send three short papers by [Egerton Charles] Grey ['The latent fermenting powers of bacteria.'], communicated by Harden, to Hopkins. Also asks Bradford to suggest a referee for [Alan Sterling] Parkes' paper [ 'Studies on the sex-ratio and related phenomena. Part I - Foetal retrogression in mice'] communicated by [Francis Hugh Adam] Marshall. Suggests perhaps Walter Heape as referee.
