TitleCopy letter from William Bate Hardy, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Charles Sherrington, G.B.E, President of the Royal Society; Solent Cliffs Hotel, Bournemouth.
Date11 April 1924
DescriptionStates gladness that Charles Sherrington is on holiday and agrees that permission should be granted to Mr. Johnson to allow him to photograph the Massachusetts Indian Bible. William Bate Hardy mentions inability to attend British Association in August, as pressures [in Britain] and kindness of the Rockefeller Officials means September and October will be spent in the USA and Canada, and cannot afford to spend August away as well. Asks Sherrington to thank [Archibald Byron] Macallum and tell him honestly that his intentions are appreciated.
