TitleCopy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Prof. D. N. Mallik, Aligarh, India
Date3 July 1924
DescriptionReplies confirming that Jeans has received a separate paper as the one communicated by Sir Joseph Larmor, which is now being returned [not enclosed]. States that the Secretaries do not communicate papers unless under special circumstances and wanted to see the result of the paper communicated by Larmor first. As the paper was reported on adversely, states that the other paper would also receive similar criticisms. Suggests Mallik can ask for another Fellow to communicate the paper.
