TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to G J Burch, 21 Norham Road, Oxford
Date14 June 1893
DescriptionThere is a vacancy at the Society which, if Burch does not have a regular appointment, might perhaps suit him. The Society is at last going to start a subject-index to the Catalogue [of Scientific Papers]. Rix wonders if Burch feels inclined to come and superintend the work with clerical staff under him. If so Rix wonders if Burch will call and have a provisional interview with the Treasurer [John Evans] next Thursday. The catalogue Committee will then meet later that day and if all goes well the matter might be put in hand at once. As this is probably the last Committee meeting this session Rix hopes Burch is able to under take the work and to come and see the Treasurer before the Committee meets.
