DescriptionIn reply to Talmage's obliging letter of the 16th, Rix is instructed by the Treasurer [John Evans] to say that there is no museum of curiosities at the Royal Society to which Talmage could deposit the crystals of selenite. The Treasurer suggests that the Museum of Natural History and the Science and Art Department as suitable places to which to send the gift and they thanks Talmage for his courtesy.
