DescriptionIn reply to Currie's letter of 31 May, Foster is directed by the President and Council of the Society to ask Currie to inform the Earl of Rosebery [Archibald Philip Primrose] that while they would desire to assist his Lordship in reciprocating the liberality of the Egyptian Government, the request appears to them to require some definition. Foster asks his Lordship to ascertain what recent publications of the Royal Society the municipality of Alexandria specially desire the Society will do their best to meet the wishes expressed.
