TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to J B Bailey, Librarian, Royal College of Surgeons
Date21 June 1893
DescriptionIn answer to Rix's letter of 30th May the President and Council have resolved that the portrait of [John] Hunter should be lent to the Royal College of Surgeons. It is unfortunately in rather a bad state and the Society was in the act of sending it to the cleaners when their request arrived, but though it better to keep it back, lest it should not be ready in time. Asks Bailey to send for the portrait any day but Thursday or Saturday.
