DescriptionIn answer to Cunningham's letter of the 23rd addressed to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], Rix is instructed to explain that the pages which it is proposed to omit, 139-173, relate to the speculations arising from the preceding pages. Rix quotes the opening concerning the colouration of flat-fishes. It is not intended to omit any of the plates. Asks to know if he may proceed with the printing on these conditions.
