TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster
Date12 December 1892
DescriptionThe Scientific Relief [Committee] or[?] Council invited the suggestion of institutions which should be added and consultation with Officers was to precede the resolution of Council. The Relief Committee in July suggested the Royal Irish Academy and the Royal Society of Edinburgh. This suggestion came before the Officers in October but they appear to have deferred it, Rix thinks for inquiry as to the suitability of the Irish Academy, and wonders if any steps are being taken in the matter.

Encloses a letter to the RHS [Royal Horticultural Society] for signature [not attached], a duplicate has been sent with Foster's note to the Reverend Mr Wilks.
