TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to D C McDowell, 27 Ospringe Road
Date14 December 1892
DescriptionThe Scientific Relief Fund is not restricted by regulation as to the kind of help it offers but it has not been customary to help by loans. Grants are usually to tide a person over for a few months until efficient help can be obtained from some other quarter. If McDowell will give through the President of the Royal Astronomical Society full particulars of the case, the Committee will know better in what way to help.
