TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Miss C Chambers
Date5 January 1893
DescriptionRix would be glad to hear how Chambers is and whether she can give an estimate of when she will be back [in the office]. Rix's cousin about whom he spoke to Chambers, and who was formerly at Greenwich Observatory, is both willing and anxious to undertake catalogue work. Rix is loathe to engage her without Chambers meeting her but at the same time fears there is little chance of her remaining long disengaged.

The Cambridge Press are writing urgently for copy and Miss Walker tells him it must be several days before any is ready. Rix does not like the idea of the press waiting for copy at all. Rix is sorry miss Chambers should have had such an unpleasant end to her holiday.
