DescriptionIn reply to Currie's letter of 8 December, Foster is directed by the President and Council of the Royal Society, to state that 'Die Entdeckung Americas in ihrer Bedeutung für die Geschichte des Weltbildes' which accompanied that letter, was laid before the Fellows at their meeting last Thursday. Rix asks the Earl of Rosebery to convey to His Excellency the German Ambassador, and through him to the Geographical Society of Erlin, the warm thanks of the Fellows for this handsome and valuable gift.
