TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Wesley & Sons
Date15 November 1892
DescriptionWith reference to the Messrs note of yesterday, Rix asks if they will call attention to the Smithsonian Institution that the Royal Society send them a copy of their list of Fellows every year so that there is no occasion for imperfect addresses. The Society does not take in parcels for its Fellows so that any parcels sent to the Society will be refused. The next list of Fellows will be published about January 1893 and will be corrected to 30 November 1892. As the Messrs are agents for the Smithsonian they can have a gratis copy of the list. The Society had no way of knowing from the Messrs exceedingly brief memo that the list they asked for was not for sale.
