TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date11 March 1893
DescriptionThe arrangements for the Virchow [Croonian] Lecture are complete. There will be something like 500 people present. Rix hopes 'rehearsing' does not mean experiments as he has made no arrangements for them and doubts whether the University would be a very suitable place. Encloses the letter from the College of Physicians which the Treasurer [John Evans] has seen and says that it is to go before the Officers, but not the Council [not attached]. Dr Ruffer has sent on Virchow's manuscript and everything will be ready in time.
