DescriptionIn reply to Wimshurt's note of 30 March, Rix is desired by the Officers to say that if Wimshurst's new machine exhibits any distinct novelty, they will accept with thanks, his kind offer to show it in May, but as the Society has now exhibited Wimshurst's machine for several years running, they think that unless the machine is clearly novel they would hardly be justified in troubling Wimshurst to exhibit it this year.
