DescriptionThomson will be much obliged if Winton would place the enclosed card of invitation before His Royal Highness the Duke of York, and express the great gratification it would be to the Society if he could attend on this occasion [forthcoming Coversazione]. In reference to his former letter Thomson asks if it can be proposed that the Duke be elected a Fellow of the Royal Society.
